§ Terms

Programme terms

The rules for the free education plan, in plain language. Last updated 7 November 2026.

01About these terms

Streampixel for Education ("the programme") is run by Vardexa OÜ, Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia, the company that operates Streampixel ("we", "us").

These programme terms add to the Streampixel End User Licence Agreement and the Privacy Policy. By applying for or using the programme you accept all three. Where these programme terms and the EULA differ, these programme terms apply to the free education plan.

02Who can join

Students who are currently enrolled at a university or college, and staff of institutions that have a partnership with us.

You must give accurate information when you apply and keep it up to date. Accounts are personal: one account per person, and you may not share, sell or transfer it.

03What the free plan includes

The current limits are listed on the students page. We may change them; if a change reduces what you get, we will tell you by email before it applies.

04Non-commercial use only

Use the programme for learning: coursework, presentations, research, portfolios, job applications and competitions.

Do not use it for paid client work, advertising, or to sell access to a project. For commercial work you need a regular Streampixel plan.

05Best effort, no guarantee

The programme is free and provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime, availability or performance guarantee. Viewers may have to wait before a stream starts, and streams may be interrupted.

We may change, pause or end the programme. If we end it, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email so you can save your work.

06Your projects

You keep all rights to the projects you upload. You give us permission to store, run and stream them only to provide the programme to you and the people you share them with.

If you choose to show a project in the public showcase, you also give us permission to show its name, your name and screenshots of it, and to link to it, until you remove it.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything in your project, including Unreal Engine content and assets you bought or downloaded. Your use of Unreal Engine is governed by Epic Games' own licence.

07What you may not do

Upload anything unlawful, harmful, hateful or sexually explicit, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.

Run anything other than an Unreal Engine project, such as cryptocurrency mining or load testing.

Try to get around verification, limits or queues, open more than one student account, or attack or probe our systems.

08Verification, renewal and graduation

We check eligibility with your institutional email address, a class list from a partner institution or, if neither works, a student ID that we check by hand.

Students confirm their enrolment every six months. Access continues for six months after the expected graduation month you give us.

When access ends, your projects are kept for 90 days and then deleted. Projects that nobody has streamed for 15 days are put to sleep and can be woken again with one click.

09Partner institutions

Each partner institution signs a memorandum of understanding with us. For that institution, the memorandum takes priority over these programme terms where they differ.

Institutions confirm that the staff who manage class lists are authorised to do so and that they may share class list details with us.

10Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, fails verification or puts the service or other users at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why.

You can delete your projects or close your account at any time.

11Privacy

We collect only what we need to check eligibility and run the programme: your name, institutional email address, institution, programme and expected graduation month. It is not sold or used for advertising. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

12Liability

The programme is free and provided "as is". The limitation of liability in the EULA applies to it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email you about important changes before they apply. The date at the top shows the latest version.

14Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, in the same way as the EULA.
