Job applications

Send a studio a link that runs your work at full quality on whatever laptop they have.

Group projects

Teammates and supervisors test the latest build the moment you upload it.

Competitions

Submit an interactive entry instead of a video, and let judges explore it.

Family and friends

Show the people at home what you have been working on all semester.

Protection

How student work is protected.

With Pixel Streaming, your project never leaves our GPU machine. Viewers see and control it, but they never get a copy of it.

  • Viewers receive video onlyThe browser gets a live video of your project and sends back mouse, keyboard and touch input. Nothing else.
  • Nothing to download or extractYour build, models, textures and code stay on our machines, so viewers cannot copy, unpack or reuse them.
  • Safer than sending a buildShare a link with a recruiter, tutor or competition instead of sending them your packaged game or files.
  • You stay in controlBuilds stay in your own account. Delete a project at any time and its link stops working.

Student questions

Questions from students

All questions
What is Pixel Streaming?

Pixel Streaming is a feature of Unreal Engine that runs your project on a server GPU and sends it to a web browser as live video, while mouse, keyboard and touch input travel back. Viewers get the full-quality experience without downloading anything or owning a powerful computer. Streampixel runs and scales that for you.

Is there an uptime guarantee?

No. The free plan is provided on a best-effort basis. When demand is high, viewers may wait in a short queue before a stream starts. For guaranteed capacity, institutions can buy a paid licence.

Where does it stream from?

During the pilot, all education projects stream from our APAC region in India. Viewers anywhere in the world can open them; the further a viewer is from India, the higher the delay.

Can viewers copy my project?

No. Your project runs on our GPU machine and viewers receive only a live video of it, while their mouse, keyboard and touch input is sent back. Your build, models, textures and code never reach their device, so there is nothing to download or extract.

Which GPUs do you use?

NVIDIA RTX cards with 32 GB of VRAM, in our own machines. Each stream uses one whole GPU.

Is it really free?

Yes. Verified students and partner institutions pay nothing, and students need no credit card. The plan is for learning and non-commercial work.

Who can join as a student?

Anyone currently enrolled at a college or university. Most students verify in a minute with their college email. If your college email is not recognised, a staff member at a partner institution can add you to a class list, and as a last resort you can upload a student ID for a manual check.

Are streaming minutes really unlimited?

Yes. There is no monthly allowance of minutes or hours that runs out. You can stream as often as you like. Each stream runs for up to 15 minutes and you have one live stream at a time; a viewer simply starts a new one when it ends. Once a month you can book a 60-minute showcase slot for a presentation or an open day.
